Should You Build A House In 2022?

Hey, I’m coming to you to talk to you about new construction and should you build a house in 2022? Buying new construction could be the solution for you if you are on the sidelines of not putting your house on the market, because you just, there’s not enough inventory out there. That’s what everybody says. New construction gives you a couple of advantages.

One, there is new construction going on all over the north part of Atlanta. So it’s early abundant. If you’ve got the patience ’cause you’re going to have to if you decide to build. However, new construction has some advantages where they’re more flexible with your moving time they will accept contingencies. Whereas a lot of resale sellers right now they’re not accepting any contingencies (no contingency on the sale of your existing home). People are waving financial contingencies and appraisals. They’re not even giving them due diligence. It can be pretty rough out there.

New construction is flexible in those areas. The advantage for sellers right now is to take advantage of what this market has done over the last couple of years. And that is about 35 to 38% appreciation over the last two years. Take advantage of that and trade up. And maybe ready to get out of that house that just doesn’t meet your needs any longer. But look at new construction, we’re more than happy to talk to you about all the different communities that are being built out in the area, the advantages of those, and how we can actually work directly with the builders on your behalf.

So it doesn’t cost you any more money. It’s the exact same amount as if you were to walk into one of these places, it’s just that you have an expert on your side to kind of help you maneuver through all of those challenges that could occur.

So anyway, just wanted to bring that to your attention. We are finding that a lot of homeowners that are really want to move are really looking at that new construction over the resale market because of those advantages that I just talked about. So now ask yourself, should you build a house in 2022? Does it make the most sense financially?
