Not All Realtors Are The Same...

Hey everyone, if you think all realtors are the same stay tuned, you’re going to want to tune in because they’re not. Have you ever wondered what’s the difference between agents, real estate agents maybe you think they’re all the same? Well, not all realtors are the same… they all kind of do the same thing. They come in, they put a sign in my front yard they put it on the multiple listing services, and then they just kind of disappear. Listen, there’s a lot more to it than meets the eye. I’m going to try and clear that up for you here a little bit.

So what you really need to do when you’re looking for an agent you need to find out why do I want to hire you instead of the next stage, and really determine and find out exactly what their differences are. Now I can tell you at our company, this is basically what we refer to as our value add proposition. There’s a lot of things that all agents do the same. That’s the kind of the me-too environment. The reason why not all realtors are the same is that there’s an additional layer on there as far as what we actually bring value to our clients.

So the first thing that we always talk about is that we are a team, not an individual agent, and there’s a big difference between having a team behind you and a single agent. There are a million different moving parts, timelines, things that need to be completed, signatures and documents that need to be completed and signed at any particular time throughout the whole transaction of the real estate transaction piece. And not only that, most agents don’t have the personality type to be able to have enough discipline to be a marketer, to be a great salesperson, a great operations person, and really detailed and be able to cross the t’s and dot the I’s. They just don’t have the personality trait for all of those different buckets. Those are very individual and special personalities and skills, and each one of those different buckets and having a team behind you that has those skill sets in those different disciplines is going to be key. So once again, having a team behind you instead of an individual agent is going to be key. I can’t tell you how many times that we’ve had, where I’ve been out with clients and I’ll have another client call me and say Hey, the house that I’ve been, my dream house just came on the market and I needed to go see it right now. You don’t want to be in a situation like that, where you have to say well, I’m sorry, I can’t help you until tomorrow. You want to have a team to be able to plug into and be able to take care of that and get you out to that home. So the team environment is a big one.

The second thing is we really tout the fact that we’re going to help you beat the market at the moment. What that really means is having a solid marketing and pricing strategy in place. That’s going to allow you to build wealth and then preserve your wealth through real estate. There’s a lot that actually goes into that and it’s actually baked into that but whatever agent you’re working with or talking to or interviewing, make sure that you see a solid track record of their performance as it relates to in comparison, the average of what you’re seeing and the market itself. We have always felt proud and we measure that on a consistent basis of how are our clients doing compared to the market itself. And we always make sure that we can deliver and outperform what the market is doing. That just means we make more money for more people than the average agent out there. And those are great questions to ask during the agent interview process that you’re actually going to go through.
